Hi!
My name is Cara. I’m a strategic communications professional, award-winning journalist, and cultural consultant.
I bring 20+ years of experience as a dynamic communications leader, with proficiency in brand management, organizational change, and campaign management. Specializing in delivering customized, research-based campaigns that drive growth, I am known as a creative collaborator who brings thumb-stopping content to new audiences. With a trusted reputation as an advisor to senior leadership, I partner with diverse stakeholders on effective communication, key business messaging, and employee engagement to inspire and energize organizations.
My writing has appeared in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The Florida Times-Union, and my nonfiction essays have appeared in Fragments of Ourselves and Start with Welcome. I’m a member of the Wisconsin Writers Association and volunteer with World Relief Wisconsin. I hold an MFA in writing (SCAD) and a Ph.D. in intercultural studies (Biola University).
As an avid hiker, I’ve trekked the foothills of the Himalayas, the rift zone of Kīlauea, and the breathtaking sequoias of the Giant Forest, but being a wife and mom is my greatest adventure.
I’d love to connect! Say hi on Instagram or drop me a message here.
